Position: Computer Science Teacher – Montessori to Grade 5

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, creative, and technology-oriented Computer Science Teacher to introduce students from Grade 3 to Grade 5 to the world of computers, technology, and digital learning.

The ideal candidate should be able to make technology simple, engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate, while developing students' digital awareness, logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Computer Science and Digital Literacy from Grade 3 to Grade 5.
- Introduce students to basic computer operations, hardware, software, and digital tools.
- Teach age-appropriate concepts such as typing, MS Office, internet awareness, presentations, and basic programming/coding.
- Introduce younger students to technology through interactive activities, educational games, visual learning, and hands-on exercises.
- Introduce foundational coding concepts using Scratch, block-based programming, or other child-friendly platforms.
- Develop students' logical thinking, computational thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
- Prepare engaging lesson plans, worksheets, activities, projects, and assessments.
- Conduct practical computer lab sessions and ensure students get adequate hands-on experience.
- Teach students about responsible and secure use of technology and the internet.
- Monitor students' learning progress and provide individual support where required.
- Maintain a well-organised and positive computer lab environment.
- Participate in school events, technology-related activities, exhibitions, competitions, and academic initiatives.

Requirements




- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications / Education / related field.
- B.Ed / relevant teaching certification will be an advantage.
- Prior experience teaching Montessori to Grade 5 is preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic computer science and digital technologies.
- Knowledge of MS Office, educational technology tools, and basic coding.
- Experience with Scratch or other child-friendly coding platforms will be an advantage.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Robust classroom management and student-handling skills.
- Patient, creative, energetic, and enthusiastic about working with young learners.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching may also be considered.
