About the team The Competitiveness & Transformation (C&T;) team lead is responsible for driving strategic initiatives that improve cost competitiveness, operational excellence, supply chain performance, and business transformation across Castrol's Performance Units (PUs). The team lead supports manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, technology, and commercial functions, partnering with regional and global stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver sustainable value creation opportunities.
Key tasks
- Lead and execute Competitiveness & Transformation projects focused on delivering measurable business value across the Performance Unit.
- Drive Product Cost Competitiveness (PCC) and Operational Cost Competitiveness (OCC) initiatives to improve profitability and operational performance, Industrialization, Digitalization, and Automation initiatives to improve profitability and operational performance.
- Improve the competitiveness and efficiency of Castrol supply chain by ensuring projects are executed at PU level effectively and with maximum pace to capture value.
- Identify, assess, and build a continuous pipeline of competitiveness and productivity improvement opportunities.
- Apply project and program management best practices to manage timelines, risks, budgets, resources, dependencies, and governance requirements.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, Marketing, Technology, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to ensure successful project execution and stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate with regional and global C&T; teams to share best practices and ensure continuity throughout project lifecycles.
- Track value realization, project performance, and governance metrics, providing regular updates to leadership teams and key stakeholders.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Business Transformation, or related functions.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional transformation, cost optimization, productivity improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
- Strong project and program management experience, including management of timelines, risks, resources, and value delivery.
- Experience working effectively with multiple stakeholders across Supply Chain, Procurement, Technology, Operations, and Commercial functions.
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication,
influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across a matrix organization.
- Proven ability to drive change and deliver measurable business outcomes in a quick-paced environment.
- Project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in agile working environments and applying agile methodologies.
