Role Description The Community Event Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering community-focused cyber awareness programs, workshops, and virtual events. This role coordinates event calendars, manages logistics and digital platforms, and collaborates with internal teams and global partners to ensure impactful programming aligned with HackHalt’s mission.
The Community Event
Manager will develop event concepts, outreach campaigns, and engagement strategies, while maintaining consistent communication with participants, speakers, and sponsors. Day-to-day activities include managing registrations,
overseeing event production, tracking attendance and feedback, and preparing post-event reports and insights. The role also involves building and nurturing community relationships, supporting educational initiatives, and continuously improving event formats and experiences.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in event planning, program coordination, and logistics management.
- Candidates should possess skills in stakeholder communication, community engagement, and relationship building.
- Candidates should possess skills in digital tools for virtual events, such as webinar platforms, collaboration tools, and basic CRM usage.
- Candidates should possess skills in project management, time management, and prioritization in a remote work environment.
- Candidates should possess skills in content creation for event promotions, including explicit writing and basic marketing support.
- Knowledge of or strong interest in cybersecurity, digital safety, or technology education is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate across diverse teams and cultures, and adapt to fast-changing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
