Role Objective To manage end-to-end commercial operations for ethanol business including OMC bidding, dispatch planning, logistics coordination, tanker arrangements, statutory compliance, excise liaison, and timely realization of payments.

Key Responsibilities

1. OMC Bidding & Sales Management

- Handle end-to-end ethanol tendering/bidding process with Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) such as IOCL, BPCL, HPCL.
- Preparation, submission, and tracking of bids as per OMC guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with pricing, allocation, and contract terms.
- Maintain solid coordination with OMC officials for allocation and lifting schedules.

2. Dispatch, Logistics & Tanker Management

- Plan and monitor ethanol dispatches as per OMC schedules and agreed quantities.
- Arrange tankers/transporters and ensure availability as per dispatch plan.
- Coordinate with logistics vendors for timely placement of tankers at plant and delivery at OMC depots.
- Ensure vehicle compliance including safety norms, permits, calibration, and statutory requirements.
- Optimize freight cost and ensure efficient route planning.
- Track movement of tankers and ensure timely delivery without delays or demurrage.




- Maintain transporter database, rate contracts, and performance monitoring.

3. Excise & Regulatory Liaison

- Liaison with State Excise Department for permits, passes, and regulatory approvals.
- Ensure compliance with all excise laws, policies, and ethanol movement regulations.
- Maintain proper records and documentation for audits and inspections.
- Handle coordination with other government departments as required.

4. Payment Follow-ups & Receivables Management

- Track and ensure timely receipt of payments from OMCs.
- Regular reconciliation of invoices and outstanding balances.
- Follow up with OMC finance teams for pending payments and resolve discrepancies.
- Work closely with finance/accounts team for smooth cash flow management.

5. Stakeholder Coordination

- Collaborate with internal teams: Production, Logistics, Finance, and Compliance.
- Maintain strong relationships with OMC officials, transporters, and regulatory authorities.
- Support management with data, reports, and insights for decision-making.
