Position: Commis 1 / Commis 2 / Commis 3

Departments: Continental | Cold Kitchen | South Indian | Vegetable Cutting

Key Roles & Responsibilities :-

- Prepare food items according to the assigned kitchen section and standard recipes.
- Assist the Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Maintain proper food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Handle preparation of ingredients, mise en place, and cooking activities.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices for food storage.
- Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
- Support the team during busy service hours.

Section-Wise Responsibilities

Continental

- Prepare basic continental dishes, sauces, soups, salads, and accompaniments.
- Assist with grilling, sautéing, and other cooking preparations.
- Maintain proper presentation and portion standards.

Cold Kitchen

- Prepare salads, sandwiches, cold appetizers, dressings, and garnishes.




- Maintain proper temperature and hygiene for cold food items.
- Ensure attractive food presentation.

South Indian

- Prepare South Indian breakfast and meal items as assigned.
- Assist with batter preparation, chutneys, sambar, curries, and other preparations.
- Maintain authentic taste and consistent quality.

Vegetable Cutting

- Wash, peel, clean, and cut vegetables according to kitchen requirements.
- Follow correct cutting sizes and preparation methods.
- Maintain cleanliness and avoid unnecessary food wastage.

Requirements:

- Relevant kitchen experience preferred; freshers may be considered for Commis 3 depending on requirement.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
- Ability to work in a team and handle a fast-paced kitchen workplace.
