CNC OPERATOR / SETTERJob Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible CNC Operator / Setter to operate and set CNC machines efficiently and accurately. The candidate will be responsible for machine setup, tool setting, production, quality inspection, and maintaining smooth machine operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently as per production requirements.
- Set and prepare CNC machines for production.
- Load and unload components/materials properly.
- Set cutting tools, offsets, work coordinates, and fixtures.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Check dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and Gauges.
- Make minor program/offset corrections when required.
- Monitor machine performance and production quality.
- Identify and report machine, tooling, or quality issues.
- Maintain proper production records and follow workplace safety procedures.
- Keep machines and work areas clean and organized.
- Achieve production targets while maintaining required quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical qualification preferred.
- Experience as a CNC Operator / Setter in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of CNC machine operations and tooling.
- Ability to read engineering/technical drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming and G-code/M-code is an advantage.
- Good attention to detail and quality awareness.
- Ability to work in shifts if required.
Experience Freshers: Can be considered for Operator roles if technically trained.
Experienced Candidates: Preference for candidates with relevant CNC setting and operating experience.
