Role & responsibilities

A. CNC Machine Operation

- Operate CNC machines as per approved work instructions, process sheets, drawings, and control plans.
- Perform machine start-up checks before beginning production activities.
- Verify component drawing, revision level, material details, CNC program number, and tooling before machining.
- Load and unload components safely as per defined process.
- Ensure correct machining parameters such as speed, feed, depth of cut, and offsets are maintained.
- Monitor machine performance during operation and report abnormalities immediately.
- Maintain proper handling of components to avoid damage or rejection.

B. Production Target Achievement

- Achieve daily and shift-wise production targets as per production planning.
- Follow standard cycle time and minimize machine idle time.
- Ensure optimum utilization of CNC machine capacity.
- Support reduction of downtime by timely reporting of machine issues.
- Maintain production records accurately.

C. Quality Control Responsibilities

- Produce components as per customer drawing and specification requirements.
- Perform first-piece inspection and obtain approval before mass production.
- Conduct in-process inspection as per control plan and inspection frequency.
- Use measuring instruments correctly and ensure inspection results are recorded.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming products.
- Immediately inform the supervisor/quality team about any quality abnormality.

D. Process & Document Control (ISO 9001:2015 Requirement)

- Follow only approved and latest versions of:

- Drawings
- Work instructions
- Process sheets
- Inspection standards

2. Maintain production-related documents and records.




- Ensure product traceability from raw material to finished component.
- Follow approved process parameters without unauthorized changes.

E. Tool & Equipment Management

- Ensure correct cutting tools and inserts are used.
- Monitor tool wear and replace tools as per defined criteria.
- Maintain tool change records.
- Report abnormal tool conditions immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic condition of CNC machine.

F. Machine Maintenance Support

- Perform daily operator-level machine checks.
- Check lubrication, coolant level, hydraulic pressure, and machine condition.
- Report machine abnormalities to the maintenance team.
- Support preventive maintenance activities.

G. Safety & 5S Responsibilities

- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and 5S standards.
- Ensure machine guards and safety devices are not bypassed.
- Follow protected material loading/unloading practices.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.

H. Non-Conformance & Improvement Activities

- Stop the process when abnormal quality conditions occur.
- Support root cause analysis for machining-related issues.
- Participate in corrective actions and improvement activities.
- Suggest ideas for productivity and quality improvement.
