Role Purpose

The Cluster Audit Manager is responsible for evaluating and strengthening internal controls, risk management practices, and governance processes across assigned branches. The role ensures operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and adherence to internal policies within the cluster.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct and manage internal audits across assigned branches within the cluster.

2. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls,



risk management systems, and governance processes.

3. Assess the reliability and adequacy of financial, operational, and administrative controls.

4. Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions and safeguarding of organizational assets.

5. Verify branch-level compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

6. Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and areas of operational risk.

7. Prepare and present detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations to senior management.

8. Monitor and follow up on audit observations to ensure timely closure.

9. Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements.

Key Skills & Competencies

1. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

2. Sound knowledge of accounting principles and audit practices

3. Ability to assess borrower eligibility and field-level processes

4. Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

5. High level of integrity, ownership, and accountability

6. Willingness to work extensively in rural areas

7. Openness to frequent travel

8. Proactive approach with a mindset for innovation and improvement

Educational Qualifications

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)

Experience Requirement

- Minimum 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in audit, preferably within the microfinance or BFSI sector
