About the Team The Operations team plays a pivotal role in optimizing cloud investments by driving financial accountability, cost governance, and operational efficiency across cloud environments. The team collaborates closely with engineering, finance, business, and operations stakeholders to monitor cloud spending, identify optimization opportunities, and enable data-driven decision-making.

Key Purpose of the Job

As a Cloud FinOps Analyst, you will be responsible for managing cloud financial operations, monitoring cloud costs, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and implementing cost optimization strategies. You will leverage cloud cost management tools and reporting platforms to provide actionable insights, improve resource utilization, and ensure effective financial governance across cloud environments.

Your Role

Cloud Cost Management & Optimization

- Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure costs to identify spending trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
- Implement cost optimization initiatives, including resource rightsizing, reservation planning, and usage optimization.
- Continuously evaluate cloud consumption patterns and recommend strategies to improve cost efficiency and resource utilization.
- Perform coverage analysis for reserved capacity and savings plans to maximize financial benefits.

Budgeting & Financial Operations
- Support cloud budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Manage cloud cost allocation and assist with chargeback or showback models across business units or projects.




- Track and investigate cost anomalies and recommend corrective actions to stakeholders.
- Contribute to financial governance by ensuring transparency and accountability in cloud spending.

Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide insights into cloud expenditure and performance.
- Utilize business intelligence and cloud cost management tools to generate actionable financial and operational reports.
- Present cloud cost analyses, optimization recommendations, and key metrics to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with engineering, finance, and business teams to align cloud spending with organizational goals.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve operational issues impacting cloud costs or performance.
- Build and maintain automation solutions to streamline reporting, data collection, and operational workflows.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to process optimization initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working with cloud cost management platforms, reporting tools, and financial operations processes.
- Familiarity with cloud budgeting, reservation planning, and financial governance practices.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks and workflow optimization is desirable.
- Relevant Cloud or FinOps certifications are an added advantage.
