About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Business Development Manager – Catering Services to lead business development and client acquisition for institutional and bulk catering services.
The candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with institutional clients, preparing commercial proposals and tenders, negotiating contracts, and achieving revenue targets.
The role will focus primarily on catering and food-service opportunities in:
- Schools and educational institutions
- Colleges and universities
- Corporate offices
- Construction worker camps/sites
- Hostels and residential institutions
- Hospitals and healthcare institutions
- Government departments and PSUs
- NGOs, foundations and CSR projects
- Large institutional and industrial facilities
Key Responsibilities 1. Business Development
- Identify and develop current business opportunities in institutional catering.
- Build a strong pipeline of potential clients and projects.
- Conduct market research to identify upcoming catering contracts, tenders and institutional requirements.
- Develop relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams, administration departments and facility managers.
- Generate leads through direct meetings, networking, references, online platforms and tender portals.
2. Institutional Catering & Tender Business
- Identify relevant catering and food-service tenders from Government, PSU, schools, colleges, corporates and institutions.
- Study tender requirements, eligibility criteria, scope of work and commercial conditions.
- Coordinate with the internal team for preparation and submission of technical and financial bids.
- Maintain a database of upcoming and active catering tenders.
- Follow up with tender authorities and prospective clients until finalisation.
3. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Meet prospective clients and understand their catering requirements.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations and commercial offers.
- Negotiate pricing, service scope, payment terms and contract conditions.
- Maintain long-term relationships with existing and newly acquired clients.
- Conduct regular client meetings and collect feedback to improve services.
4. Business Targets
- Develop and execute a monthly and annual business development plan.
- Achieve agreed revenue and client acquisition targets.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Track conversion rates from enquiry → quotation → negotiation → contract.
- Provide regular business development reports to management.
5. Market Expansion
- Explore new geographic areas and institutional sectors.
- Identify large-volume catering opportunities involving schools, colleges, corporate offices and construction workers.
- Develop strategic partnerships with contractors, facility management companies, builders, educational institutions and government agencies.
- Identify opportunities for long-term catering contracts.
6. Coordination & Operations
- Coordinate with the operations, procurement, finance and kitchen teams before finalising contracts.
- Ensure that proposed pricing is commercially viable and operationally feasible.
- Support the operations team during client onboarding and project mobilisation.
- Monitor client satisfaction and support contract renewals.
Candidate Profile
Education:
- MBA in Marketing, Business Development or Management will be an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in Business Development/Sales, preferably in:
- Institutional catering
- Contract catering
- Food & beverage services
- Facility management
- School/college catering
- Corporate catering
- Government/PSU contracts
- Construction worker meal services
- Institutional food supply
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in government/PSU tenders and institutional contracts.
- Existing network with schools, colleges, corporates, builders, contractors, hospitals or government institutions will be an advantage.

Compensation Additional benefits/incentives may be provided based on company policy and achievement of business targets.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel for business meetings and site visits.
- Strong professional network in institutional catering will be preferred.
- Must be target-oriented and capable of independently handling the complete business development cycle.
- Should have the ability to work with senior management as well as operational teams.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
