Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Media & Broadcast Technology
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana
Work Arrangement: Full-Time, Onsite

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and oversee the organization’s end-to-end technology operations, including enterprise IT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, broadcast engineering, live broadcasting systems, digital platforms, and technology strategy.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive experience in IT and media/broadcast technology, with strong hands-on expertise in servers, firewalls, networking, web infrastructure, cameras, 4G/5G transmission systems, live broadcasting, and enterprise IT administration.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the organization’s overall technology strategy and digital transformation roadmap.
- Lead end-to-end IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and systems administration.
- Manage Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, file servers, backup systems, virtualization, and storage infrastructure.
- Oversee LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, internet connectivity, and network security.
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including endpoint security, access management, firewall security, vulnerability management, patching, monitoring, and incident response.
- Oversee television and broadcast technology infrastructure supporting studios, newsrooms, control rooms, production environments, and live programming.
- Manage broadcast servers, media storage, encoding/decoding systems, video systems, streaming platforms, and transmission infrastructure.
- Lead live broadcasting and field transmission technology, including 4G/5G broadcasting kits, bonded cellular systems, encoders, decoders, cameras,
wireless transmission equipment, and related field technology.
- Ensure reliable transmission from remote locations to central broadcast facilities during live news coverage, special events, and breaking news.
- Oversee professional cameras, PTZ cameras, ENG/EFP equipment, audio systems, video switchers, monitors, recording systems, and studio production infrastructure.
- Work closely with newsroom, editorial, production, broadcast engineering, and IT teams to identify and resolve critical technology issues.
- Ensure maximum uptime and operational readiness for 24/7 television and news broadcasting.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, redundancy, and system recovery strategies.
- Oversee corporate websites, digital platforms, streaming infrastructure, content delivery systems, and other web technologies.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including cloud platforms, automation, AI, digital media technologies, and contemporary broadcast solutions.
- Manage technology vendors, service providers, ISPs, broadcast equipment suppliers, software providers, and technology partners.
- Develop and manage technology budgets, procurement strategies, licensing, maintenance contracts, and infrastructure lifecycle planning.
- Lead, mentor, and manage IT infrastructure, systems administration, network, cybersecurity, and broadcast technology teams.
- Provide technical leadership during critical system failures, cybersecurity incidents, network outages, and live broadcast emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network engineering, broadcast technology, or related areas.
- Robust experience in a television, media, news, broadcasting, production, or 24/7 operational environment.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end IT infrastructure and enterprise technology operations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN, networking, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and backup systems.
- Hands-on experience with live television broadcasting, broadcast systems, transmission technology, and streaming platforms.
- Experience with professional camera systems, video/audio infrastructure, encoders, decoders, and live production technology.
- Experience with 4G/5G live transmission and mobile broadcasting systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident-management capabilities in high-pressure live broadcast environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, vendor-management, project-management, and strategic-planning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous CTO, CIO, IT Director, Head of IT, Head of Technology, or senior technology leadership experience.
- Experience with television news channels, media organizations, broadcast studios, MCR/PCR environments, or outside broadcasting.
- Knowledge of IP-based broadcasting and video-over-IP technologies.
- Experience with broadcast automation, media asset management, OTT, streaming, CDN, and digital media platforms.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft, Linux, Cloud, Cybersecurity, or Broadcast Technology certifications are a plus.
