Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Technical Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across pharmaceutical manufacturing and technical operations.

The incumbent will be responsible for driving operational excellence, manufacturing performance, technical operations, GMP compliance, productivity, cost optimization, CAPEX, and overall business operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide strategic leadership for Technical Operations, Manufacturing and Plant Operations.
- Drive operational planning, productivity, efficiency and cost optimization.
- Oversee manufacturing operations and ensure achievement of production, quality and delivery targets.
- Lead Engineering, Maintenance, Projects and Technical Services functions.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, SOPs and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with QA, QC, Production, R&D;, Regulatory Affairs and Supply Chain.
- Develop and monitor annual operational plans, budgets and CAPEX.
- Drive plant capacity planning, process improvement and operational excellence.
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead technology transfer, plant expansion,



validation and technical projects, as applicable.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials and other resources.
- Develop, mentor and lead senior technical and manufacturing teams.
- Support the Management in strategic business and operational decisions.
- Ensure effective implementation, review and improvement of SOPs, policies, systems and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement, productivity enhancement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Candidate Profile
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is mandatory.
- Proven senior-level experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing / Technical Operations.
- Strong exposure to plant operations, engineering, maintenance and technical services.
- Sound knowledge of GMP, regulatory compliance, audits and quality systems.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven experience in managing budgets, CAPEX, manpower and operational KPIs.
- Solid stakeholder-management and communication skills.
- Experience leading large cross-functional technical and manufacturing teams.
