Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement the university’s overall financial strategy in alignment with institutional objectives.
- Lead and manage the Finance & Accounts department.
- Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, cash-flow projections, and long-term financial plans.
- Monitor the university’s financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management and governing authorities.
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, taxation, payroll coordination, and related finance functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Establish and maintain effective financial controls, policies, procedures, and approval systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accounting standards, university policies, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit observations.
- Monitor revenue, expenditure, receivables, payables, investments, and cash management.
- Develop strategies for effective cost management and financial sustainability.
- Provide financial analysis and advice to the Vice Chancellor, senior leadership, and governing bodies.
- Evaluate financial implications of new academic programs, infrastructure projects, contracts, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee financial planning for capital expenditure, campus development, and major institutional projects.
- Manage relationships with banks,



auditors, consultants, regulators, funding agencies, and other financial stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate financial controls over grants, research funds, donations, and externally funded projects.
- Monitor financial risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support procurement and contract-management processes from a financial and compliance perspective.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Promote transparency, accountability, and financial discipline across the institution.
- Perform other strategic and financial responsibilities assigned by university management.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Significant senior-level experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a university, educational institution, nonprofit organization, or large organization.
- Robust knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, budgeting, taxation, audit, and statutory compliance.
- Experience managing finance teams and institutional budgets.
- Excellent analytical, strategic, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and MS Excel.

Pay: ₹36,675.94 - ₹100,000.00 per month
