CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) – IPO & CORPORATE FINANCE

Location: Janakpuri, New Delhi

Reporting To: Managing Director / Board of Directors

Employment Type: Full-Time | Leadership Position

Experience

15–20 years of progressive finance experience, including 5 years in a CFO / Finance Director / VP Finance / Head of Finance or equivalent senior leadership role

Qualification

MBA Finance may also be considered for exceptional candidates.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced, commercially oriented and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Company's finance, accounting, taxation, treasury, compliance, controls and financial planning functions.

The CFO will be a key member of the senior leadership team and will work closely with the Managing Director and Board of Directors to drive financial strategy, business performance, working-capital efficiency, governance, risk management, capital planning and the Company's proposed SME IPO.

The successful candidate will be expected to build a scalable, disciplined and IPO-ready finance function, while maintaining strong financial controls and providing actionable financial insights to management and the Board.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in electronics, technology, telecom, manufacturing, electronics imports/distribution, trading, industrial or other process-driven businesses, preferably with exposure to an IPO, SME IPO, fundraising or listed-company setting.

KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE The CFO will be responsible for establishing and continuously improving:

- Accurate and timely financial reporting
- Strong accounting policies and internal financial controls
- Complete statutory, tax and regulatory compliance
- Effective cash-flow and working-capital management
- Robust treasury and banking operations
- Board-level MIS and business performance reporting
- Scalable finance processes and ERP discipline
- Strong inventory and cost controls
- IPO readiness and financial due diligence
- A capable, accountable and high-performing finance team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Finance Strategy, FP&A; & Business Performance
- Develop and execute the Company's financial strategy in alignment with business growth and profitability objectives.
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-term financial planning and scenario analysis.
- Develop financial models for business expansion, investments, funding and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial dashboards to the Managing Director and Board.
- Analyse revenue, gross margins, product/customer profitability, pricing, operating costs and return on capital.
- Drive improvement in cash flow, working capital, inventory turns, receivables and overall capital efficiency.
- Evaluate expansion plans, investment proposals, strategic partnerships and financing requirements.
- Provide commercially relevant financial insights to support management decision-making.

2. Accounting, Financial Reporting, Controls & Audit
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial closure.
- Establish robust accounting policies, SOPs, approval matrices, delegation-of-authority frameworks and maker-checker controls.
- Ensure proper books of account, reconciliations, inventory valuation, fixed-asset accounting and cost accounting.
- Strengthen financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards, including Ind AS, where applicable.
- Lead statutory, internal, tax and cost audits.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and prevent recurrence of control deficiencies.
- Establish strong internal financial controls and audit trails.
- Improve the quality, accuracy and speed of financial reporting.

3. Tax, Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure timely compliance under the Companies Act, MCA/ROC and applicable corporate regulations, in coordination with the Company Secretary and external advisors.
- Oversee GST, TDS, Income Tax, Customs, FEMA and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Establish a centralized compliance calendar with clear ownership, deadlines and escalation mechanisms.
- Monitor statutory and regulatory risks and ensure timely corrective action.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, legal advisors and professional firms on assessments, notices, litigation and regulatory matters.
- Ensure finance-related compliance requirements associated with the proposed SME IPO are completed accurately and on time.

4. Treasury, Banking & Working Capital
- Lead treasury operations, liquidity planning and cash-flow management.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Negotiate and optimize CC, OD, term loans, bank guarantees, letters of credit and trade-finance facilities.
- Monitor borrowing costs, utilization, repayment schedules and banking covenants.
- Lead lender negotiations, fundraising and debt restructuring initiatives.




- Manage working-capital requirements across receivables, inventory and payables.
- Monitor foreign-exchange exposure and financial risks arising from import/export operations.
- Establish appropriate cash-flow forecasting and liquidity controls.

5. Manufacturing, Inventory & Commercial Finance
- Establish robust financial controls over procurement, inventory and supply-chain operations.
- Develop product/SKU-level profitability and margin analysis.
- Strengthen manufacturing and inventory costing where applicable.
- Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Analyse purchase-price variance, material consumption, gross margins and cost efficiency.
- Work with Procurement, Operations, Sales and Supply Chain teams to improve working-capital efficiency.
- Develop financial metrics for inventory turns, receivable days, payable days and cash-conversion cycle.

6. ERP, Process Improvement & Automation

Review, strengthen and automate key finance processes including:

- Order-to-Cash
- Procure-to-Pay
- Inventory Management
- Expense Management
- Payroll
- Record-to-Report
- Fixed Asset Management
- Banking and Reconciliation
- Statutory Compliance

The CFO will:
- Drive ERP discipline and process standardization.
- Eliminate manual and duplicate financial processes.
- Establish clear process owners, SLAs and turnaround times.
- Develop exception reporting and management dashboards.
- Improve data integrity and financial visibility.
- Lead finance automation and digital transformation initiatives.

7. SME IPO READINESS & CAPITAL MARKETS The CFO will be a key finance leader for the Company's proposed SME IPO.

Responsibilities will include

- Lead finance-related IPO readiness activities.
- Assess and close gaps in accounting, reporting, controls, compliance and governance.
- Coordinate finance due diligence activities.
- Ensure availability and accuracy of historical financial records and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with Merchant Bankers, statutory auditors, legal counsel, consultants and other IPO advisors.
- Support preparation/review of financial information required for IPO documentation.
- Support DRHP/RHP and other relevant IPO-related financial information and disclosures.
- Respond to finance-related due-diligence and regulatory queries.
- Establish and maintain a structured IPO finance data room.
- Strengthen internal controls and corporate governance in line with listed-company expectations.
- Support fundraising, investor communication and capital-market activities where required.
- Ensure a smooth transition from private-company finance processes to listed-company reporting and governance.

Preferred IPO Experience

Candidates with demonstrated end-to-end IPO / SME IPO experience will be strongly preferred, particularly candidates who have personally handled or led:

- IPO readiness
- DRHP / RHP / UDRHP financial information

- SEBI / NSE / BSE queries

8. LEADERSHIP & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Build and lead a high-performing Finance, Accounts, Taxation and Compliance function.
- Establish clear roles, KRAs, performance standards and accountability mechanisms.
- Develop succession plans and strengthen the technical capabilities of the finance team.
- Work closely with the Managing Director and Board on strategic financial matters.
- Maintain strong relationships with bankers, auditors, investors, advisors, consultants and regulatory stakeholders.
- Partner with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, HR and Technology teams.
- Build a culture of financial discipline, transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.

CANDIDATE PROFILEEssential Requirements
- 15–20 years of progressive finance experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role such as CFO, Finance Director, VP Finance, Head of Finance or equivalent.
- CA preferred; CMA / MBA Finance may be considered for exceptional candidates.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE The ideal candidate is a senior finance professional with 15–20 years of experience, including 5 years at CFO/Finance Director/Head of Finance level, who has successfully led finance in an electronics, technology, manufacturing, distribution or trading environment and has hands-on experience with IPO/SME IPO readiness, treasury, working capital, internal controls, financial reporting, compliance and Board-level financial management.

Candidates who have personally led an SME IPO from financial preparation and due diligence through regulatory coordination and listing will be strongly preferred.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
