Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and responsible Chess Instructor to join our coaching team. The instructor will be responsible for conducting engaging chess classes, developing students' playing skills, monitoring their progress, and preparing students for competitive tournaments.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct engaging and structured chess coaching sessions for students.

Teach chess fundamentals, openings, middlegame concepts, endgames, tactics, strategy, and practical decision-making.

Conduct practical games, puzzles, analysis sessions, and other chess activities.

Assess students' playing strength and provide constructive feedback.

Track student performance and provide regular progress updates.

Prepare students for school, district, state, national, and other competitive tournaments.

Encourage discipline, concentration, sportsmanship, and logical thinking.

Maintain a positive and motivating learning environment.

Coordinate with the academy management regarding student progress and class requirements.

Assist in organizing chess tournaments, assessments, workshops, and academy events.





Follow the academy's curriculum, teaching methodology, and operational guidelines.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of chess fundamentals and competitive chess.

Previous experience in chess coaching or teaching is preferred.

FIDE rating, tournament experience, coaching certification, or recognized chess achievements will be an advantage.

Valuable communication and teaching skills.

Ability to work effectively with children and young learners.

Patience, professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude.

Ability to explain chess concepts in a simple and engaging manner.

Preferred Qualifications :-

Candidates with any of the following will be given preference:

FIDE-rated player

FIDE-recognized or certified chess coach

Experience coaching children

Experience preparing students for competitive tournaments

Experience playing rated tournaments

Chess tournament achievements

Experience with online chess platforms such as Lichess , Chessbase
