Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Mumbai.

The Chartered

Accountant will oversee accounting operations, prepare and review financial statements, coordinate statutory and tax audits, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.

Responsibilities include managing GST, TDS, and income tax filings, ROC and other statutory compliances, and timely book closures and reconciliations. The role also includes delivering Virtual CFO (VCFO) services through budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital management, financial analysis, and management reporting to support business planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

Accounting and Financial Reporting: Robust knowledge of applicable accounting standards (Ind AS/IGAAP), financial statement preparation and review, general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Audit and Assurance: Experience in coordinating statutory and tax audits, preparing audit documentation, resolving audit queries, and reviewing internal controls and financial risks.

Taxation and Compliance:



Expertise in direct and indirect taxation, GST, TDS, income tax returns, ROC filings, and other applicable statutory compliances.

VCFO Services: Ability to prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and MIS reports; monitor cash flows, working capital, and profitability; and provide actionable financial insights to management.

Analytical and Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting and tax software, MS Excel, and reporting tools, with the ability to interpret financial data and regulatory requirements.

Communication and Professional Attributes: Strong communication and client coordination skills, integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.

Qualification and Experience: Qualified Chartered Accountant prior experience in a CA firm, corporate finance, or accounting and taxation role is preferred. Exposure to VCFO services will be an advantage.
