– Centre Manager

JOB PURPOSE The Centre Manager will be responsible for the overall management, smooth functioning, student experience, staff coordination and business growth of the centre.
The person will act as the key link between students, parents, faculty, counsellors, support staff, schools and the Head Office, ensuring that the centre operates professionally and achieves its academic, operational and admission targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
CENTRE OPERATIONS
- Take complete responsibility for the day-to-day functioning of the centre.
- Ensure classes, tests, doubt sessions and other academic activities run according to schedule.
- Monitor classroom readiness, infrastructure, cleanliness and discipline.
- Ensure proper maintenance of attendance, batch schedules, test schedules and student records.
- Identify operational issues and resolve them promptly.
- Ensure all centre policies and SOPs are properly followed.
- Coordinate with Head Office regarding operational requirements, resources and approvals.
- Maintain proper documentation and daily/weekly operational reports.
STAFF MANAGEMENT
- Supervise and coordinate faculty, counsellors, admission staff, marketing staff and support staff.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor completion of assigned tasks.
- Maintain staff attendance, punctuality and discipline.
- Conduct regular staff meetings.
- Monitor individual staff performance against assigned responsibilities and targets.
- Identify training requirements and communicate them to Head Office.
- Encourage teamwork and professional conduct.
- Resolve routine staff-related issues and escalate major matters when required.
- Ensure that every team member follows the centre's communication and service standards.
STUDENT MANAGEMENT
- Maintain regular interaction with students and understand their academic and general concerns.
- Monitor student attendance, discipline, performance and engagement.
- Ensure students receive timely information regarding classes, tests, schedules and academic activities.
- Coordinate with faculty regarding students requiring additional attention.
- Track students who are irregular, underperforming or disengaged.
- Ensure appropriate follow-up with students and parents.
- Create a positive, disciplined and inspiring learning environment.
- Collect student feedback and communicate important concerns to the appropriate team.
PARENT MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATION
- Maintain skilled and regular communication with parents.
- Handle parent queries,
concerns and complaints with patience and professionalism.
- Coordinate parent meetings whenever required.
- Keep parents informed about attendance, academic performance, tests and important centre activities.
- Ensure important parent concerns are properly recorded and followed up.
- Build strong parent relationships and improve parent satisfaction.
- Escalate serious academic, behavioural or service-related issues to senior management.
BUSINESS GROWTH & ADMISSIONS The Centre Manager will play an active role in centre growth and student admissions.
Responsibilities include
- Work towards achieving monthly and annual admission targets.
- Monitor enquiries, counselling, follow-ups and conversions.
- Coordinate with the Admission Counsellor and Marketing Team.
- Review daily/weekly admission and enquiry reports.
- Identify opportunities for increasing student enrolment.
- Develop local outreach opportunities in the centre's target area.
- Support promotional campaigns, seminars, workshops, career guidance programmes and scholarship/assessment activities.
- Encourage referrals from existing students and parents.
- Maintain relationships with local educational communities and relevant stakeholders.
- Analyse reasons for lost enquiries/admissions and suggest corrective actions.
- Work with Head Office to develop and implement centre-level growth strategies.
SCHOOL RELATIONS & PRINCIPAL MEETINGS The Centre Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with schools.
Key responsibilities
- Identify potential schools for collaboration.
- Coordinate and participate in meetings with School Principals, Directors, Coordinators and Management.
- Present the institute's academic programmes, career guidance initiatives, Olympiads, seminars and competitive-exam preparation programmes.
- Understand the school's requirements and identify mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities.
- Coordinate school seminars, career counselling sessions, Olympiads and student engagement programmes.
- Maintain a database of school contacts and meeting records.
- Follow up with schools after meetings and programmes.
- Build long-term institutional relationships rather than focusing only on one-time events.
- Submit regular school-visit and partnership reports to Head Office.
COMMUNICATION WITH HEAD OFFICE The Centre Manager will serve as the primary communication link between the centre and Head Office.
Responsibilities
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly centre reports.
- Report admissions, enquiries, attendance and operational performance.
- Communicate staff requirements and operational challenges.
- Share student and parent feedback.
- Report school meetings and business-development activities.
- Implement policies, campaigns and instructions issued by Head Office.
- Seek timely approval for matters requiring Head Office intervention.
- Maintain transparency regarding centre performance and challenges.
- Participate in review meetings with senior management.
MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve centre admission and business targets.
- Conduct comprehensive staff performance review.
- Analyse admissions and conversion data.
- Review student retention and attendance.
- Review parent feedback.
- Prepare monthly MIS.
- Review school relationships and partnership opportunities.
- Prepare centre growth plan for the upcoming month.
- Participate in monthly management review with Head Office.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCEEducation
- Graduate/Postgraduate in any relevant discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Management, Education or related field will be preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in educational institutes, coaching institutes, schools, training centres, admissions, sales, operations or business development.
- Experience in managing a team and handling parents/students will be preferred.
- Experience in school outreach and Principal-level meetings will be an advantage.
