Role Description The Career Counselor role at Defence Mania is a full time, on-site position based in New Delhi.

The Career

Counselor will guide defence exam aspirants on appropriate career paths, exam choices, and preparation strategies aligned with their goals and capabilities.

Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing students’ interests and strengths, and developing individualized study and career plans. The role involves providing accurate information on AFCAT, CDS, and other defence entry pathways, organizing workshops and seminars,



and collaborating with faculty to support learners’ academic and personal development.

The Career

Counselor will also maintain student records, monitor progress, and offer ongoing motivation and mentorship to help aspirants stay focused on their goals.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Career Counseling and Student Counseling to support aspirants in making informed decisions.
- Expertise in Career Development and Career Management to help learners plan short- and long-term pathways in defence services.
- Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear articulation, and the ability to explain complex information simply.
- Relevant academic background in Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field.
- Experience working with students or competitive exam aspirants, preferably in defence or government exam domains.
- Ability to build trust, maintain confidentiality, and engage respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities for handling multiple counseling sessions and student cases.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and online platforms used for student interaction and record keeping.
