Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Car Parking Lift Design Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in designing mechanical car parking systems, parking lifts, and related lifting mechanisms. The candidate will be responsible for developing detailed designs, preparing manufacturing drawings, coordinating with production and installation teams, and ensuring designs meet safety and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and development of car parking lifts, hydraulic/mechanical lifting systems, and parking structures.
- Prepare 3D models, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Design and select components such as:
- Hydraulic cylinders and power packs
- Chains, sprockets, shafts, bearings and gears
- Platforms, frames and structural members
- Guide rails, rollers and lifting mechanisms
- Safety locks and other safety components
- Perform basic design calculations, load calculations, strength calculations and factor-of-safety checks.
- Select appropriate materials, standard components and bought-out items.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and engineering specifications.
- Modify existing designs based on site requirements, customer requirements and production feedback.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, Installation and Project teams.
- Support the installation/commissioning team in resolving technical issues at site.
- Review drawings for manufacturability, assembly and maintenance requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable safety standards,



codes and company design practices.
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement of existing parking lift products.

Required Technical Skills
- Robust knowledge of Mechanical Design and Machine Design.
- Good understanding of hydraulic lifting systems and mechanical mechanisms.
- Experience in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks / Creo / Inventor.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance, fits and engineering drawing standards.
- Knowledge of material selection and fabrication processes.
- Ability to perform load, torque, stress and basic structural calculations.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel for engineering calculations and BOM preparation.
- Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes such as cutting, bending, welding, machining and assembly.

Preferred Experience
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in Car Parking Systems / Parking Lifts / Material Handling Equipment / Hydraulic Equipment / Heavy Mechanical Machinery.
- Experience in designing 2-post/4-post parking lifts, puzzle parking, stacker systems or other automated/mechanical parking equipment will be an advantage.
- Experience with site measurements, installation support and troubleshooting will be preferred.
