Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Car Parking Lift Design Engineer – Team Leader to lead the design and engineering activities for car parking lift systems and related mechanical equipment.

The role will be responsible for concept development, detailed engineering, design calculations, 3D modeling, manufacturing drawings, BOM preparation, design validation, team coordination, and technical support to production, installation, and project teams.

The candidate should have solid hands-on experience in mechanical design, hydraulic lifting systems, structural design, machine elements, fabrication, and car parking equipment and should be capable of leading a team of design engineers and ensuring timely delivery of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities1. Design & Engineering

- Lead the complete design and engineering of car parking lifts and mechanical parking systems.
- Develop new products and improve existing parking lift designs based on project and customer requirements.
- Prepare concept layouts, 3D models, assembly drawings, detailed manufacturing drawings, and installation drawings.
- Design and review mechanical components including:
- Lifting platforms and structures
- Hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic mechanisms
- Hydraulic power packs and associated components
- Chains, sprockets, shafts and bearings
- Gears and mechanical transmission components
- Guide rails, rollers and supporting structures
- Safety locks and mechanical safety arrangements
- Structural frames and fabricated assemblies
- Ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing, assembly, installation, operation, and maintenance.

1. Design Calculations & Validation

- Perform and review load calculations, torque calculations, shaft calculations,



bearing selection, structural calculations, hydraulic calculations, and factor-of-safety checks.
- Validate designs based on load capacity, operating conditions and safety requirements.
- Review critical components and identify potential design risks before manufacturing.
- Support prototype development, testing and design validation.

1. Engineering Documentation

- Prepare and review:
- 2D manufacturing drawings
- 3D models
- General arrangement drawings
- Assembly drawings
- Fabrication drawings
- BOM / MBOM
- Engineering specifications
- Design calculation sheets
- Installation drawings
- Maintain proper revision control and engineering documentation.
- Ensure drawings and documentation are released within defined project timelines.

1. Team Leadership

- Lead and manage a team of Design Engineers / CAD Engineers / Draftsmen.
- Allocate design activities according to project priorities and team capabilities.
- Review team members' designs, calculations and drawings.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and training to junior engineers.
- Monitor engineering workload, project schedules and deliverables.
- Conduct regular design reviews and ensure quality of engineering output.

1. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Coordinate with Production, Project, Purchase, Quality, Installation, Service and Sales teams.
- Provide technical clarification to manufacturing and fabrication teams.
- Resolve design-related issues during manufacturing and assembly.
- Provide engineering support during installation and commissioning at customer sites.
- Coordinate with suppliers for technical specifications and component selection.




- Review and approve engineering changes based on production and site feedback.

1. Cost Optimization & Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities for design optimization, weight reduction and cost reduction without compromising safety or performance.
- Standardize components and design practices wherever possible.
- Develop and maintain standard design modules, templates and component libraries.
- Analyze field failures and implement appropriate corrective design improvements.
- Support development of new parking lift products and customized solutions.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design and Machine Design.
- Hands-on experience in car parking lift / mechanical parking system design.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Hydraulic systems
- Machine elements
- Structural design
- Welding and fabrication
- Material selection
- Bearings, shafts, gears, chains and sprockets
- Engineering fits and tolerances
- GD&T;
- Design calculations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis.
- Ability to interpret engineering standards, technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including laser/plasma cutting, bending, welding, machining and assembly.

Preferred Industry Experience Candidates with experience in the following industries will be preferred:
- Mechanical / Automated Car Parking Systems
- Car Parking Lifts
- Structural & Fabrication Equipment

Experience with 2-post parking lifts, 4-post parking lifts, stacker parking systems, puzzle parking, pit parking systems, hydraulic parking systems, or customized parking equipment will be an added advantage.

Qualification

Essential:

- B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 6–8 years of relevant design engineering experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in leading or supervising a design engineering team is preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
