Role Description The Captain (Italian Cuisine) is a full-time, on-site role based at Toscano India in Bengaluru. This role oversees the dining floor operations, ensuring guests receive attentive, professional service and an elevated Italian dining experience.

Responsibilities include managing table reservations and seating, guiding guests through the menu and wine list, coordinating with kitchen and bar teams for timely service, and supervising service staff to maintain standards.



The Captain handles guest inquiries and concerns, supports training of current team members, and ensures adherence to hygiene, safety, and brand guidelines. The role also involves monitoring the presentation of dishes, promoting specials, and contributing to smooth, efficient shift operations.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, wines, and fine-dining service standards.
- Experience in guest service, table management, and handling reservations in a restaurant setting.
- Skills in team coordination, staff supervision, and shift management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience as a Captain, Head Waiter, or equivalent role in premium dining is preferred.
- Basic POS and billing system familiarity; attention to detail in orders and billing.
- Formal hospitality education or certification is an advantage, but relevant experience is highly valued.
