Job Purpose To plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Mathematics lessons for primary students following the Cambridge Primary curriculum. The teacher will develop students’ mathematical knowledge, problem-solving skills, reasoning abilities, and confidence while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary curriculum and learning objectives.
- Teach mathematical concepts using a range of practical, visual, collaborative, and inquiry-based approaches.
- Develop students’ understanding of number, calculation, geometry, measurement, statistics, patterns, and mathematical reasoning.
- Encourage students to apply mathematical knowledge to real-life situations and problem-solving activities.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the learning needs and abilities of individual students.
- Use formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student attainment, progress, and assessment outcomes.
- Provide constructive feedback that helps students understand their strengths and areas for development.
- Prepare appropriate teaching resources, activities, worksheets, and digital learning materials.
- Promote mathematical thinking, curiosity, independence, and confidence in learners.
- Support students who require additional assistance and provide appropriate extension activities for higher-achieving learners.
- Maintain an effective, well-organised, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Establish positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership.
- Participate in parent meetings, staff meetings, professional development, school events, and other academic activities.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the continuous improvement of Mathematics teaching and learning.
- Follow school policies relating to safeguarding, behaviour management, assessment, health and safety, and student welfare.





Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification/certification.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at the primary level.
- Good understanding of primary Mathematics pedagogy and assessment.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge Primary curriculum is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to differentiate learning for students with varied abilities.
- Competence in using technology and digital resources to support teaching and learning.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a Cambridge International school.
- Experience with Cambridge Primary Mathematics or similar international curricula.
- Knowledge of Cambridge assessment principles and primary Mathematics progression.
- Experience using manipulatives, problem-solving tasks, mathematical investigations, and inquiry-based learning.
- Experience supporting students for internal or external assessments.

Performance Expectations The teacher is expected to contribute to solid student progress and attainment, effective classroom practice, positive student engagement, accurate assessment, and the wider academic and pastoral life of the school. ***Salary is based on previous experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 per month
