Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site CAD Engineer role based in Chennai. The CAD Engineer will create, modify, and manage detailed CAD models and drawings for EPCC projects in petroleum, oil and gas, offshore–onshore, and marine applications.

Responsibilities include translating engineering concepts into accurate designs, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards, and collaborating closely with mechanical, process, and project engineers. The role involves reviewing design specifications, performing design updates and revisions, supporting design validations, and preparing documentation for fabrication, installation, and commissioning. The CAD Engineer will also coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues, optimize layouts for manufacturability and safety, and contribute to continuous improvement of design workflows and tools.

Qualifications:

- Strong Computer-Aided Design (CAD)



skills with experience in industry-standard CAD tools.
- Knowledge of Physical Design principles and ability to interpret and apply engineering specifications.
- Background in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with EDA workflows and exposure to tools such as Cadence or similar platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience in EPCC, oil and gas, marine, or heavy industrial projects is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standards, and codes.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively in office.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
