Position Summary

We are looking for an Audit Associate with 2-3 years of relevant experience in Indian Practice / Indian Statutory Audit . The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in audit and assurance engagements, accounting, financial statement review, audit documentation, and compliance requirements applicable to Indian entities.

This position is suited for candidates who have worked in Indian Practice, Statutory Audit, or Assurance and are looking to further develop their audit and accounting expertise.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in planning and execution of statutory and external audit engagements for Indian entities .
- Perform audit procedures under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in reviewing financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Perform substantive and analytical audit procedures.
- Prepare and maintain audit working papers and supporting documentation.
- Assist in verification of financial records, ledgers, vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Identify basic audit risks, discrepancies, and exceptions and communicate findings to senior team members.
- Assist with audit planning, fieldwork, and completion procedures.
- Support compliance with applicable Indian Accounting Standards / Accounting Standards and Indian auditing requirements .
- Coordinate with clients and internal team members for obtaining required information and documentation.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of assigned audit work.
- Support seniors and managers in completing audit engagements within agreed timelines.

Skills and Attributes





- Good understanding of Indian accounting and auditing concepts .
- Hands-on exposure to Indian Statutory Audit / Assurance .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to review financial information and identify discrepancies.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience

- Only Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience after post qualification in Indian Practice / Statutory Audit / Assurance.
- Candidates should have practical exposure to audit assignments involving Indian entities.
- Articleship experience in Indian Statutory Audit / Assurance will be considered relevant.

Preferred Skills

- Working knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards / Accounting Standards .
- Understanding of Indian auditing and statutory compliance requirements .
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience with accounting/audit software will be an advantage.
- Positive verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive approach with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
