Merchandiser – Sampling & Vendor Management

Location: Gurugram (on-site, regular vendor visits) | Experience: 2–4 years

About Zavya

Zavya is a fast-growing contemporary silver jewellery brand. We sell through our own website, the major marketplaces and quick commerce, and we launch new designs constantly. The speed of that launch engine depends on how well sampling runs.

The Role

You will take every new design from CAD or brief to an approved, production-ready sample, on time and at the right weight. This is an execution role. The plan is set; your job is to make sure it gets delivered.

What You'll Do

· Own daily sampling coordination for all new designs.

· Drive vendors from design brief through corrections to final approval.

· Track each sample's status, costing, weight, corrections and TAT in a live tracker.

· Work with vendors on weight reduction and feasibility without losing design intent.

· Coordinate with Design, CAD,

QC and Production so nothing gets stuck between teams.

· Flag delays early and push them to closure. Don't just report them.

· Collect costing, MOQ and lead time from vendors for every approved design.

· Support trial development with new vendors.

· Hand approved samples over to production with complete specs.

You Should Have

· 2–4 years in jewellery merchandising, sampling, product development or vendor coordination.

· Silver or gold jewellery, accessories or export-house experience preferred.

· Working knowledge of jewellery construction, weights and costing.

· Solid follow-up discipline: you close loops without being reminded.

· Comfort with Excel or Google Sheets for trackers.

· Ability to run 30+ samples across multiple vendors at the same time.
