Position Summary

ATLAS SkillTech University seeks an innovative, academically accomplished, and industry-engaged faculty member in Business Analytics to contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development, and industry collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in business analytics, data science, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies, with the ability to integrate analytical thinking into management education through experiential learning.

The faculty member will be responsible for creating a dynamic learning environment that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on application using contemporary analytics tools, real-world business problems, simulations, live consulting assignments, and interdisciplinary projects. The role also requires active engagement in scholarly research, corporate partnerships, academic administration, and student mentoring.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning The faculty member shall:

- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business Analytics and related domains.
- Deliver lectures using experiential, case-based, simulation-driven, and project-based pedagogy.
- Design engaging classroom experiences incorporating business cases, live datasets, dashboards, and AI-enabled tools.
- Develop detailed course plans, lesson plans, assessment rubrics, and teaching material aligned with Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
- Conduct tutorials, laboratory sessions, workshops, and practical analytics exercises.
- Develop interdisciplinary learning experiences integrating analytics with marketing, finance, HR, operations, entrepreneurship, sustainability, design, and technology.
- Continuously update course content based on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate students through assignments, quizzes, projects, presentations, case analyses, practical examinations, and end-semester assessments.
- Provide academic counselling and mentoring to students.




- Supervise internships, dissertations, capstone projects, and independent research projects.
- Facilitate experiential learning through corporate engagements, field projects, and consulting assignments.

Curriculum Development The faculty member will:

- Design and revise curriculum in accordance with NEP, UGC guidelines, and industry requirements.
- Develop new electives reflecting technological advancements.
- Prepare detailed course outlines, learning outcomes, assessments, and teaching plans.
- Develop laboratory manuals and analytics projects.
- Create industry-based case studies.
- Integrate AI tools and business simulations into curriculum.
- Benchmark curriculum with globally recognized business schools.
- Develop MOOCs, blended learning modules, and digital learning resources.

Student Development

Responsibilities include

- Mentor students academically and professionally.
- Guide students in career planning.
- Supervise student research and innovation projects.
- Support participation in analytics competitions, hackathons, and business competitions.
- Coordinate student clubs related to analytics, AI, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
- Assist students in skilled certification preparation.
- Recommend students for internships and placements.

Research & Scholarly Activities

Expected responsibilities include

- Publish research papers in Scopus, ABDC, Web of Science, and UGC CARE journals.
- Present research at national and international conferences.
- Publish business case studies.
- Obtain funded research grants.
- Undertake consultancy assignments.




- Guide student publications.
- Build interdisciplinary research collaborations.
- Organize research seminars and faculty development programmes.
- Participate in editorial and peer-review activities.

Industry Engagement The faculty member shall:

- Build partnerships with industry.
- Organize guest lectures.
- Conduct executive education programmes.
- Lead analytics boot camps.
- Coordinate live consulting projects.
- Develop corporate-sponsored capstone projects.
- Facilitate internships.
- Organize industrial visits.
- Collaborate with startups and incubators.
- Support entrepreneurship initiatives.

Academic Administration

Responsibilities include

- Participate in departmental committees.
- Assist in accreditation processes.
- Maintain academic records.
- Coordinate examinations.
- Participate in admissions.
- Support student orientation.
- Organize conferences, workshops, seminars, and conclaves.
- Contribute to rankings and institutional quality initiatives.
- Participate in strategic planning activities.

Essential Qualifications

- Ph.D. in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Management, Economics, or related discipline.
- MBA/M.Tech./M.Sc. with specialization in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, AI, or Management.
- Qualifications shall comply with applicable UGC Regulations.

Experience

Assistant Professor

- 2–8 years of teaching, research, or industry experience.
- Experience in analytics consulting or corporate analytics preferred.

Associate Professor

- Minimum 8 years of teaching, research, and academic administration.
- Demonstrated leadership in curriculum development and research.

Industry experience in consulting, banking, fintech, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, technology, logistics, or e-commerce will be an added advantage.
