A.

- Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job

Support the growth and profitability of the Inorganic Specialties business line by providing insights and comprehensive analysis of financial performance to identify business improvement initiatives. Coordinate month-end financial closing and financial planning and forecasting on the business line level. Engage in finance business partnering with regional sales managers and various functions (RD&I;, Technology Group, Marketing).

Responsibilities

A. Business Insights and Improvements

1. Conduct detailed profitability analysis on a quarterly basis, including a 'cost-to-serve' model detailing cost allocation to the lowest level in customer and product hierarchies, enabling profitability analysis of segments/products/regions/plants/etc. to EBITDA level.
2. Develop period comparisons and communicate insights to business teams through prepared presentation slides.
3. Promote and enhance the use of PowerBI reporting in the business line.
4. Monitor and analyze business improvement initiatives (ANT/Wave).
5. Provide financial support to Business and Finance projects.
6. Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and presentations.

B. Monthly Financial Closing and Reporting

1. Analyze the progression of the sales order book during the month on the Business Line level, investigating abnormal developments and following up with sales regions.

1. Analyze the progression of prices and margins during the month on the Business Line level, investigating abnormal developments and gaps vs. targets and following up with sales regions.
2. Analyze the progression of non-standard variable costs during the month on the Business Line level, investigating abnormal developments and following up with Logistics/Procurement/Production sites.
3. Analyze product costing, including Z3MO, during the month on the Business Line level, investigating abnormal developments with Procurement/ISC control.
4.



Review actual costs for central BL functions and create Manual Journal Entries for regular accruals/provisions and ad hoc adjustments on a monthly basis.
5. Analyze monthly, YTD, and forward-looking P&L; variances vs. last year (A06) and provide supporting analysis.
6. Support BL controller in analyzing and commenting on monthly financial results, preparing analysis with heatmaps vs. latest forecast, Budget, and Prior Year.
7. Cooperate with BU Finance Team on monthly financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis.

C. Financial Planning and Forecasting

- Monthly consolidation and analysis of IBP monthly forecast monetization for the next 2 years down to contribution margin @ standard and forecast non-standard variable costs and business fixed costs.

1. Develop a financial forecast of inventories, receivables, and payables with monthly split in coordination with Business Planning team.
2. Consolidate P&L;, Working Capital, and Capex forecasts on the business line level and prepare analysis with comments for monthly MBR (IBP) meetings.
3. Support the annual budget process and quarterly forecast. Consolidate financial inputs and develop analysis and presentation slide decks on the business line level.
4. Support in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, including productivity initiatives and business cases for growth projects.

Job Requirements

- Chartered Accountant/Cost & Management Accountant/MBA (Finance) from a B-School with relevant experience.
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in financial analyst/project controlling functions.
- Experience in the chemical manufacturing industry with a global multinational organization (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Business Warehouse, PowerBi, SAP Analytical Cloud).
- Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
- Flexible, comfortable in a demanding setting within an international context.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiastic, a driver of change, analytical, and fact-based.
