Job Title: Bending Operator

Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Mechanical preferred

Job Responsibilities

- Operate Press Brake / CNC Bending machines for sheet metal components.
- Set up machines according to production requirements and component drawings.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Select and install the appropriate tools, punches, and dies.
- Set machine parameters such as bending angle, length, pressure, and back gauge.
- Perform first-piece inspection and ensure components meet required specifications.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and Angle Gauge.
- Make necessary machine/program adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Identify and correct basic bending defects such as incorrect angle, cracks, deformation, and dimensional variation.
- Maintain production quantity and quality as per daily targets.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and report machine/tool problems to the supervisor or maintenance team.
- Complete production and inspection records.





Required Skills
- Knowledge of Press Brake / CNC Bending machine operation.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of sheet metal bending processes.
- Basic knowledge of CNC machine controls/programs.
- Good knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Ability to calculate bending allowance and understand bend deductions is an advantage.
- Quality-conscious and able to work according to production targets.
- Willingness to work in shifts.

Qualification & Experience
- ITI – Fitter / Machinist / Turner / Sheet Metal preferred.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.
- 1–5 years of experience in Press Brake/CNC bending operations preferred.
- Freshers with relevant ITI qualification may be considered for trainee positions.
