: Bar Manager

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Bar Manager to lead the bar at Yokocho, Park Street. You'll own the bar's day-to-day operations, from crafting a standout beverage program to leading the team and keeping the numbers healthy, while making sure every guest has a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily bar operations, including opening and closing, service standards, and smooth coordination with the kitchen and floor teams.
- Develop and refresh the beverage menu: cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and Japanese offerings like sake, highballs, and Japanese whisky.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate bartenders and bar staff, and set clear standards for speed, presentation, and hygiene.
- Control inventory through stock ordering, par levels, regular stock counts, and minimizing wastage, spillage, and pilferage.
- Hit beverage cost and revenue targets by tracking pour costs, pricing, and sales, and suggesting improvements.
- Build relationships with vendors and brand partners, and plan promotions, events, and happy hours.




- Ensure full compliance with excise and liquor licensing rules, responsible alcohol service, and food safety and hygiene standards.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally at the bar.

Requirements

- 6–8 years of bar experience, with at least 3–4 years in a supervisory or bar manager role.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, mixology, and bar trends. Familiarity with Japanese drinks is a big plus.
- Experience with inventory control, costing, and POS systems.
- Valuable understanding of excise regulations and licensing procedures.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, and a guest-first attitude.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
