Role Description This remote BackEnd Developer role is a contract position focused on designing, building, and maintaining server-side applications and APIs. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing robust business logic, optimizing database interactions, ensuring application performance and security, and integrating with front-end and third-party services. The BackEnd Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate technical and functional requirements into scalable solutions, review code, and participate in testing and deployment activities.

The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, improving existing services,



and contributing to best practices and technical documentation.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, including building and maintaining APIs and microservices.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming concepts, with experience in at least one up-to-date backend language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Node.js).
- Ability to collaborate with Front-End Development teams, understanding how backend services support user interfaces and client applications.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization or orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for backend services.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, contract-based environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
