Role Description The Back End Developer will work remotely on a contract basis, designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable server-side applications and APIs that support Faltrox Security’s cybersecurity platforms and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing core application logic, integrating data storage solutions, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability and security of back-end systems.

The role involves collaborating with front-end developers, security engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver robust features, troubleshoot complex issues, and improve existing services.

Developer will also help implement secure coding practices, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical documentation and process improvements aligned with up-to-date cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications

- Strong Back-End Web Development skills, including building and maintaining APIs and server-side services.
- Solid Software Development experience with emphasis on clean architecture, testing, and deployment practices.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and related design principles and patterns.
- Programming skills in one or more modern languages commonly used for back-end development (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Node.js, Go).
- Foundational understanding of Front-End Development and how back-end services integrate with client applications.
- Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), caching, and message queuing technologies.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and common web security concepts (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps tools (e.g., containers, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code) is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to performance, reliability, and security.
- Effective remote collaboration skills, including clear written communication and the ability to work independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
