About the Role

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the AWS EKS platform behind our cloud-native microservices application. You'll be the go-to person for infrastructure, Kubernetes, deployments, and observability, working closely with development teams to keep things fast, secure, and reliable.

What You'll Do

- Design, operate, and scale AWS infrastructure (EKS, EC2, ECR, S3, RDS/Aurora, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch) across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production.
- Run and troubleshoot Kubernetes on EKS: deployments, networking, storage, RBAC, scheduling, and Karpenter-based autoscaling across ARM64/AMD64.
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform and Terragrunt across multiple environments.
- Develop and maintain Helm charts, manage releases, and troubleshoot deployment issues across services.
- Build and run GitLab CI/CD pipelines - builds, scans, image publishing to ECR, and environment promotion - including Kubernetes-based GitLab Runners.
- Stand up and maintain observability: OpenTelemetry, SigNoz, the ELK stack, and dashboards/alerts for logs, metrics, and traces.
- Champion least-privilege IAM, IRSA/Pod Identity, and OIDC-based auth over long-lived credentials.
- Own production incidents end-to-end and drive root-cause fixes, not just workarounds.





What You'll Bring

- 5+ years in DevOps / Cloud / Platform Engineering, with real production ownership.
- Strong hands-on AWS: EKS, EC2, ECR, S3, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache/Redis, IAM, VPC, ELB, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager.
- Deep Kubernetes and EKS administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Terraform (Terragrunt experience is a strong plus).
- Hands-on Helm chart development and release management.
- GitLab CI/CD pipeline design and GitLab Runner management.
- Solid understanding of IAM, RBAC, OIDC, IRSA/EKS Pod Identity, and security scanning (Trivy, GuardDuty).
- Observability experience: OpenTelemetry, SigNoz, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Filebeat, Prometheus/Grafana.
- Comfortable with PostgreSQL/Aurora and Redis.
- Bash/Shell scripting (Python a plus) and solid Git fundamentals.

Nice to Have

- Production EKS at scale, with Karpenter and ARM64/Graviton workloads in a enterprise environment
- Terraform module development and Terragrunt-based multi-setting design.
- Istio TLS and ingress security.
- Container hardening and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed microservices architectures.
- Experience with AWS networking and load-balancer architecture
