To ensure effective audit governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial control for the department through timely audit closure, budget monitoring, and stakeholder coordination. To drive process excellence and strengthen operational controls while ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Reconciliation portfolio for the department.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all internal and external audit requirements.
- Monitor, track, and ensure timely closure of audit observations within stipulated timelines.
- Coordinate and manage IRDAI audit requirements, including data preparation and submissions.
- Prepare and manage the department's annual budget and manpower planning files.
- Conduct monthly analysis and reconciliation of budgeted versus actual expenditure.
- Identify operational risks, recommend mitigation measures, and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders to address risk, regulatory, and compliance-related matters.
- Manage the department's communication governance framework and perform periodic communication reconciliations.
- Review audit reports, validate observations, and release finalized reports to the respective stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and governance requirements across departmental activities.
- Drive continuous process excellence initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and control effectiveness.
