Role Overview

Uniqus Consultech is looking for an experienced Associate Director – Accounting & Reporting Consulting (ARC) to join our Chennai practice. The role involves leading complex accounting advisory engagements, providing technical accounting expertise, managing senior client stakeholders, and supporting the growth and development of the ARC practice.

The ideal candidate will be a CA-qualified professional with strong experience in Accounting Advisory / Technical Accounting / Financial Reporting, preferably from a Big 4 or leading consulting firm, with exposure to global clients and complex accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and provide advisory on complex accounting and financial reporting matters under US GAAP, IFRS and Ind AS.
- Advise clients on areas including:
- Business Combinations and Purchase Price Allocation

- Revenue Recognition

- Financial Instruments

- Leases
- Stock-Based Compensation

- Consolidation and Group Reporting
- GAAP conversions and new accounting standard implementation

- Review and provide guidance on technical accounting memos, accounting position papers and financial reporting analyses.
- Support clients on complex transactions, IPO readiness, carve-outs and other strategic finance initiatives.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Work closely with Partners and Directors on key client engagements and strategic initiatives.

- Review deliverables and provide technical and developmental guidance to team members.

- Contribute to ARC thought leadership, technical publications and knowledge-sharing initiatives.





- Work with global clients and international engagement teams across geographies.

Requirements

Candidate Profile

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory
- 9–12+ years of relevant experience in Accounting Advisory, Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting, FAAS or related consulting roles.
- Experience with Big 4 / leading consulting firms preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS / Ind AS.
- Hands-on experience in multiple complex accounting areas such as:
- Revenue Recognition

- Business Combinations

- Financial Instruments

- Leases
- Stock-Based Compensation

- Strong client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing complex engagements.
