About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Director - Transaction Tax to lead and manage complex transaction tax engagements involving mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructurings, due diligence, and deal advisory. The role requires strong technical expertise, commercial acumen, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to drive transactions from inception to closure.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead transaction tax engagements including deal structuring, group restructurings, and tax due diligence assignments.
- Advise clients on the tax, regulatory, and commercial aspects of transactions.
- Manage end-to-end execution of assignments and act as the primary point of contact for clients and counterparties.
- Participate in negotiations with counterparties and provide strategic inputs to protect client interests.
- Review, negotiate, and advise on transaction documentation from a tax and risk mitigation perspective.
- Prepare and review tax opinions, memos, and advisory reports critical to deal closure.
- Provide implementation support for transaction structures and advisory recommendations.
- Drive project management activities, ensuring timely execution and closure of all deal workstreams.
- Develop insightful and impactful presentations for senior management and clients.
- Identify transaction risks and propose practical, commercially viable solutions.




- Mentor and coach team members while contributing to their technical and career development.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality client service.

Desired Profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Significant experience in Transaction Tax, M&A; Tax, Deal Advisory, or related areas.
- Strong understanding of direct tax laws and transaction structuring.
- Exposure to regulatory aspects impacting transactions will be an added advantage.
- Experience leading client relationships and managing complex engagements.
