Role Description The Assistant to Office Manager is a contract, on-site role based in Dehradun. This position supports the Office Manager by handling day-to-day administrative and clerical activities, including managing correspondence, organizing files and records, and maintaining office supplies. The role involves answering and directing phone calls, managing schedules and appointments, coordinating internal meetings, and assisting with basic documentation and reporting.
The assistant may help with visitor coordination, logistical arrangements for events or trainings,
and ensuring smooth communication between staff and departments. The position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow established procedures in a busy office setting.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess solid Administrative Assistance and Executive Administrative Assistance skills, including calendar management, coordination of meetings, and document handling.
- Candidates should possess solid Clerical Skills, such as filing, data entry, record maintenance, and basic office documentation.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Phone Etiquette skills to interact professionally with internal staff, external partners, and visitors.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets) and familiarity with office equipment (printers, scanners) are beneficial.
- Prior experience in an office or administrative role, preferably in an academic, research, or public-sector environment, is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Dehradun, manage multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling information.
