The Assistant Professor – Clinical Psychology will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to academic administration. The role requires expertise in clinical psychology, psychological assessment, counseling techniques, psychotherapy, psychopathology, and mental health interventions, along with active participation in institutional development and research activities.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Clinical Psychology and allied subjects.
- Develop lesson plans, course material, assessments, and learning resources.
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars, and practical sessions.
- Guide students in case studies, internships, dissertations, and research projects.
- Supervise psychological assessments and clinical training activities.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and presentations.
Research & Publications
- Conduct quality research in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health.
- Publish research papers in reputed journals indexed in Scopus/UGC Care/SCI.
- Apply for funded research projects, grants, and consultancy assignments.
- Participate in national and international conferences, FDPs, seminars, and workshops.
Clinical & Qualified Contributions
- Support counseling, psychotherapy, and mental health awareness initiatives.
- Assist in psychological testing, assessment, and intervention programs.
- Collaborate with hospitals, NGOs, schools, and mental health organizations for training and outreach activities.
- Promote ethical psychological practices and mental health advocacy.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation, and academic audits.
- Contribute to NAAC/NBA documentation and institutional quality initiatives.
- Assist in organizing seminars, conferences, workshops, and student activities.
- Support admission counseling, mentoring, and student engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with minimum 55% marks.
- M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology / PsyD / NET / PhD preferred as per UGC norms.
- RCI registration preferred for clinical practice-related responsibilities.
- Prior teaching, counseling, or clinical experience in higher education institutions will be an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of psychopathology, psychotherapy, counseling, and psychological assessments.
- Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Research aptitude with publication potential.
- Ability to mentor and guide students effectively.
- Proficiency in psychological testing tools and therapeutic interventions.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.

Experience
- 0–5 years of teaching/research/clinical experience for entry-level positions.
- Candidates with industry, hospital, or counseling center exposure will be preferred.
