Job Title Assistant Manager

Position Overview The Assistant Manager Transfer Pricing will play a key role in supporting Baker Tilly mission to deliver exceptional client service and strategic insights. This position involves handling end-to-end transfer pricing engagements, including compliance, advisory, and litigation assignments, applying knowledge of Indian Transfer Pricing regulations and OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines, and supporting multinational clients across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

Transfer Pricing Compliance

- Prepare and review Transfer Pricing Documentation (TP Study Reports) in accordance with the Income-tax Act, Rules, and OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines.
- Conduct FAR (Functions, Assets, and Risks) analysis and economic characterization of entities.
- Perform benchmarking studies using databases such as ProwessIQ, Capitaline, Ace TP, or similar databases.
- Review financial analysis, comparable searches, and computation of arm's length margins.
- Assist in preparation and review of Form 3CEB and related compliance documentation.

Research & Technical Support

- Conduct research on domestic and international transfer pricing developments.
- Track amendments in tax laws, CBDT notifications, OECD Guidelines, and international developments.
- Prepare client alerts, technical notes, presentations, and knowledge-sharing materials.

Team Management





- Supervise and mentor article assistants and junior team members.
- Review work performed by juniors and provided technical guidance.
- Assist Managers and Partners in managing engagement timelines and resource allocation.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of Indian Transfer Pricing regulations.
- Valuable knowledge of international taxation concepts.
- Experience in FAR analysis, benchmarking, and financial analysis.

Software Skills

- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Knowledge of financial databases such as ProwessIQ, Capitaline, Ace TP, or similar.
- Exposure to AI-enabled research tools is an added advantage.

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Client-facing and presentation skills.
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Experience

- Articleship in a Transfer Pricing practice is preferred.
- Experience handling multinational clients.
- Exposure to assessments, DRP, APA, Safe Harbour, or litigation assignments will be an added advantage.
- Experience across industries such as IT/ITES, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, engineering, consumer products, and services is preferred.
