Role & responsibilities
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for Civil, MEP (Low Side & High Side), medical equipment, consumables, and facility-related services.
- Prepare procurement strategies and annual sourcing plans aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified vendors and contractors.
- Conduct market intelligence and benchmarking to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment conditions, warranties, and service agreements.
Tendering & Bid Management
- Manage the complete tendering lifecycle, including:
- Preparation of RFPs/RFQs/RFIs.
- Vendor prequalification.
- Conducting pre-bid meetings.
- Bid clarification and evaluation.
- Comparative statement preparation.
- Recommendation and award of contracts.
- Coordinate with technical, engineering, finance, and user departments during bid evaluation.
Contract Management
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer various contract types including:
- EPC Contracts
- Item Rate Contracts
- Turnkey Contracts
- AMC/CMC Agreements
- Service Contracts
- Consultancy Agreements
- Ensure contractual compliance and management of variations, change orders, claims, and dispute resolution.
- Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Develop strong relationships with key vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance assessments.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Projects, Biomedical, Finance, Operations, and Clinical departments to meet procurement requirements.
Supply Chain Operations
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of materials, equipment, and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock holding.
- Support implementation of inventory control measures and procurement best practices.
- Track procurement KPIs including cost savings,
purchase cycle time, and vendor performance.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, statutory regulations, and procurement governance requirements.
- Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, and audit records.
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement and supply chain functions.
Project Procurement
- Manage procurement packages for hospital expansion, renovation, and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and monitor project procurement timelines.
- Mitigate procurement risks affecting project execution.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) or Supply Chain Management.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Procurement, or Finance preferred.
Experience
- 6-10 years of experience in Procurement, Contracts, and Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Hospitals, Healthcare Projects, Real Estate, Construction, or Infrastructure sectors.
- Experience in handling Civil and MEP procurement packages is essential.
- Exposure to NABH-accredited hospitals will be preferred.
Technical Competencies
- Robust knowledge of tendering and procurement processes.
- Expertise in contract drafting, review, and commercial negotiations.
- Understanding of EPC, Item Rate, Turnkey, and Service Contracts.
- Knowledge of MEP systems, engineering projects, and construction procurement.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, SAP, Oracle, or similar procurement platforms.
- Strong analytical and commercial evaluation skills.
