About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Production Manager to manage and control the complete production operations for our Boiler & Heavy Machinery Manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in heavy fabrication, pressure vessel/boiler manufacturing, production planning, manpower management and shop-floor operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day production activities and ensure timely completion of manufacturing targets.

Plan production schedules as per project requirements and delivery timelines.

Supervise heavy fabrication, welding, fit-up, assembly and machining-related activities.

Ensure production as per approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Manage manpower, work allocation and productivity across the production shop floor.

Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Quality, Stores, Projects and Maintenance departments.

Monitor material availability and ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery and resources.

Identify production delays, bottlenecks and process issues and take corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with quality, safety and company production standards.

Monitor rejection, rework,



wastage and production efficiency.

Maintain daily/weekly production reports and provide regular updates to management.

Lead and motivate the production team to achieve productivity and delivery targets.

Required Skills & Experience

8-12 years of relevant experience in Production Management in Heavy Engineering / Heavy Machinery / Boiler Manufacturing.

Mandatory experience in heavy fabrication and shop-floor production.

Candidates with experience in Industrial Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers or similar heavy engineering equipment will be preferred.

Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, fit-up, assembly and manufacturing processes.

Experience in production planning, manpower handling and shop-floor management.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and fabrication drawings.

Solid problem-solving, coordination and leadership skills.

Candidates from Boiler / Pressure Vessel / Heavy Machinery / Heavy Fabrication manufacturing companies are encouraged to apply.

Education

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Salary

As per experience and suitability of the candidate.

Note: Candidates without relevant Heavy Machinery Fabrication / Boiler Manufacturing Production experience may not be considered.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
