Role & responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and journal entries.
- Handle bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly MIS, financial reports, schedules, and management reports.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure timely GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance and coordinate with consultants wherever required.
- Support audit and tax-related activities, including coordination with internal/external auditors and tax consultants.
- Monitor receivables, payables, outstanding balances, and cash flow.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required financial data and documentation.
- Review accounting entries and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Coordinate with banks regarding payments, collections, bank statements, and other finance-related matters.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
- Assist management with financial analysis and decision-support reports.
- Support process improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives within the Finance & Accounts function.
- Explore and implement AI-enabled tools and solutions to improve accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and other finance processes.
- Effectively manage multiple responsibilities and competing priorities while ensuring timely completion of critical finance activities.
- Proactively address and resolve operational challenges in a fast-growing and evolving organization.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelors degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.



• 5-7 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, reconciliations, financial reporting, audit, and taxation.
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis.
- Experience with Tally, Zoho Books, or other accounting ERP systems.
- Experience in audit and tax compliance/coordination.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and changing business requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and competing priorities effectively.
- Experience working in a fast-growing, dynamic, or start-up environment and managing evolving business challenges.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Positive and proactive work attitude, with a solid sense of responsibility and commitment.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience or exposure to AI adoption, finance automation, process improvement, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience in ERP implementation or process automation will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Fintech / Banking / Financial Services will be an advantage.
