Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced AGM – Sourcing to lead technical sourcing,
supplier development, procurement, and end-to-end project execution from the company’s Pune operations.
The role will manage global and domestic sourcing projects, identify reliable suppliers, negotiate competitive commercial terms, improve supplier performance,
control inventory, and ensure uninterrupted supply. The position will also lead a procurement team managing business focusing on Castings, Forging & machined components, sheet metal parts & fabricated parts, Plastic & Rubber parts, brought out, Consumables, Imported parts as well as Patterns, fixtures, capital equipment &
services , machines from various sources.

- Showed competency in settling the commercial matter with suppliers of raw material, various types of components, consumables, tools, fixtures from various sources.
- Possesses interpersonal, analytical & negotiation skills with proven track record of achieving numerous cost savings.
- Excellent Time management skills with proven ability to work accurately and quickly prioritize coordinate and consolidate tasks, whilst simultaneously managing the diverse range of function from multiple sources.
- Excellent communication skills with vendors and colleagues on purchasing problems, transportation,
receiving materials, invoicing problems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Review global sourcing projects, BOMs, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Identify project bottlenecks and develop suitable existing or new supplier sources.
Manage RFI, RFP, and RFQ activities, including technical and commercial evaluations.
Select, rationalize, onboard, and develop capable suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, delivery schedules, NDAs/CDAs, SLAs,
and SOPs.
Drive supplier performance improvements in cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and responsiveness.
Conduct periodic supplier business reviews and monitor KPI performance.
Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier rejections and quality issues.
Identify new sourcing opportunities and develop year-on-year sourcing strategies.
Lead sourcing projects from requirement analysis through supplier selection,
execution, and closure.
Coordinate with engineering, quality, projects, production, finance, logistics, and other cross-functional teams.
Manage sourcing risks, alternate sources, supplier continuity, and project execution risks.
Ensure timely execution of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, deliveries, and supplier commitments.
Support inventory control and achievement of management working-capital targets.
Ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, quality standards,
and contractual obligations.
Lead, mentor, and train SCM and procurement team members through knowledge-
sharing sessions.
Provide regular updates on sourcing benefits, cost savings, risks, supplier performance,
and project status to stakeholders.
Key Commodities
Centrifuge castings and machined components.
Industrial-standard and vibratory motors.
Sheet-metal and heavy-fabricated components.
TPE, silicone, PTFE, and EPDM gaskets.
FDA and non-FDA-compliant plastic products.
Hydraulic lifting jacks and related equipment.
Fasteners, flanges, pipes, fittings, and other standard engineering products.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong experience in technical sourcing, strategic procurement, and supplier management.
Sound knowledge of engineering products, manufacturing processes, BOMs,
drawings, and specifications.
Expertise in supplier evaluation, onboarding, development, performance management, and rationalization.
Solid commercial negotiation, cost analysis, and contract-management skills.
Experience managing global sourcing projects and export-oriented supply chains.
Knowledge of supplier quality, RCA, corrective actions, and compliance documentation.
Ability to manage inventory, PR/PO processes, delivery tracking, and supply risks.
Strong project-management, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-
management skills.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage high-value sourcing portfolios.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong communication, ownership, execution, and relationship-building skills.
Experience and Qualification
B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
14+ years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, design,
or supply chain.
Experience in industrial equipment, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas,
railways, or global supply-chain environments will be preferred.
Experience managing international stakeholders and suppliers across Europe, USA,
China, and India will be an advantage.
