Role Description The Assistant Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Faridabad, responsible for supporting the financial management and accounting operations of Riga Foods LLP. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with the preparation of financial statements, maintaining general ledger accuracy, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring timely month-end and year-end closings. The role supports budgeting and forecasting activities, monitors cost controls for restaurant and catering operations, and helps implement internal controls and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Controller collaborates with operations, procurement, and senior finance leadership to provide financial analysis, support audits, and contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control, ideally within food, hospitality, or related industries.
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP software, advanced Excel skills, and comfort working with data and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in office full time in Faridabad, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA or in progress) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in an Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar finance role is preferred.
