Domnic Lewis has been mandated to hire for Asst.Manager/Manager-Production

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Production & Operations:

- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production activities to meet targets.
- Supervise tablet, capsule, herbal, ayurvedic & allopathic manufacturing operations.

- Ensure smooth operation of packing and manufacturing machines (blister, strip, bottle, filling, compression, coating, etc.).
- Responsible for machine operation knowledge, troubleshooting, and basic technical understanding of equipment.
- Coordinate during current machine installation, part changes, artwork checks, and layout modifications.

Quality, Compliance & Documentation:

- Approved by FDA Pune as “Approved Person” for manufacturing records (where applicable).
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Preparation and review of:

- SOPs
- Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR)
- Batch Packing Records (BPR)
- Machine qualification documents

- Coordinate with QA/QC for:

- Process validation
- Cleaning validation
- In-process controls

- Face and support internal and external audits (FDA, customers, third-party audits).

Manpower Handling & Cost Optimization:

- Handle and manage production manpower effectively.




- Optimize manpower deployment to reduce cost and improve productivity.
- Plan shifts, workload distribution, and operator allocation for maximum efficiency.
- Control overtime and improve output with minimum manpower utilization.
- Train operators, trainees, and contract staff on:

- Machine operation
- Cleaning procedures
- Safety and GMP practices

Productivity, Cost & Performance:

- Responsible for productivity improvement and cost control.
- Control rejection, wastage, and rework to improve yield.
- Monitor production norms and take corrective actions.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for better efficiency.

Coordination & Reporting:

- Coordinate with QC, QA, Store, Maintenance, and R&D; for smooth operations.

- Prepare and submit:
- Weekly production plans
- Weekly BSR / production reports to HO
- Support management in achieving production, quality, and cost targets.

Additional Skills & Requirements:

- Strong knowledge of packing & manufacturing machine operations.
- Good understanding of GMP, audits, and pharma documentation.
- Proven ability to handle manpower with cost optimization.
- Leadership skills to manage shop-floor teams.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
