Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing key accounts for capital medical equipment within the assigned territory. This is a techno-commercial role requiring strong product understanding, the ability to engage in clinical discussions, and end-to-end ownership of the sales cycle from lead generation to installation support.

Key Responsibilities

- Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue objectives for capital equipment

- Develop and manage relationships with hospitals, diagnostic centers, clinicians, and procurement teams

- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and clinical discussions

- Support equipment installations, coordination with service teams, and basic troubleshooting

- Manage and drive performance of channel partners / distributors in the territory





- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence

- Handle pricing discussions, negotiations, and deal closures

- Ensure timely payment collections and adherence to company commercial policies

- Track market trends, competition, and customer feedback

- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM updates, and periodic management reports

- Work closely with service, applications, and marketing teams for smooth execution

Eligibility & Qualifications (Mandatory)

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering

- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in capital equipment sales

- Robust understanding of medical devices / diagnostic equipment and hospital workflows
