A leading multinational in the healthcare and medical devices space, is looking for an Area Sales Executive to drive sales growth and market penetration for its Medical Surgical product portfolio in Hyderabad and Pune regions.
The role involves managing hospital and institutional sales, strengthening distributor networks, handling key accounts, and driving adoption of new medical products across private and government hospitals. The candidate will work closely with sales, marketing, and clinical education teams to expand business opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive territory sales growth through effective execution of sales and marketing strategies.
- Manage and develop distributor/channel networks for improved market coverage.
- Build strong relationships with hospitals, surgeons, purchase teams, and key decision-makers.
- Handle key accounts and support introduction/adoption of new products and clinical practices.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Regional Sales, Marketing, and Scientific Affairs.
- Track competitor activities, market trends, and provide regular business updates through CRM.
- Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations, and demand generation activities.
- Manage institutional/government business including large hospital accounts.
- Work on GeM portal activities including product uploads, bids, and procurement processes.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with government procurement policies such as Make in India (MII) and Public Procurement Orders (PPO).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience in medical devices, surgical products, or healthcare sales.
- Strong exposure to hospital/institutional sales, especially government accounts.
- Knowledge of GeM portal and government tendering processes.
- Positive relationship management, negotiation, and territory handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive business growth in assigned regions.
