Role Description The Architecture Consultant will provide end-to-end architectural guidance for bespoke pooja room projects, from initial client consultations through final design delivery. This full-time hybrid role is based in Bengaluru or Chennai with flexibility for some work-from-home tasks such as design development, documentation, and client communication.
Day-to-day responsibilities include understanding client requirements, preparing concept designs, detailed drawings, and material specifications, and coordinating with manufacturers, contractors, and vendors to ensure accurate execution. The consultant will conduct site visits, assess spatial and structural constraints, and propose solutions that align with safety, functionality, and aesthetic standards.
The role also involves maintaining project timelines, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring that each pooja room reflects Svvayam’s quality standards and brand values.
Qualifications
- Architecture and design skills, including spatial planning, concept development, and preparation of detailed drawings and layouts.
- Proficiency with design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software) for producing plans, 3D views, and construction details.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, lighting, and carpentry relevant to interior spaces, particularly bespoke pooja rooms and spiritual spaces.
- Strong client-facing and communication abilities, including requirements gathering, presentation of design options, and collaborative decision-making.
- Project coordination and time management skills, with experience handling multiple projects, site visits, and vendor interactions.
- Understanding of basic building standards and safety considerations applicable to interior installations and custom-built elements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related field; professional licensure or registration is an advantage.
- Prior experience in residential interiors, temple or pooja room design, or bespoke furniture and joinery is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, demonstrating self-motivation, reliability, and accountability for deliverables.
