Role Description The AR Follow-Up / Denial Management Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, focused on managing accounts receivable and resolving claim denials for healthcare clients. In this role, the specialist reviews unpaid claims, identifies root causes for non-payment or underpayment, and performs timely follow-up with payers via phone, portals, and email.

The specialist analyzes explanation of benefits (EOBs), remittance advice, and denial codes to determine appropriate corrective actions, including claim corrections, appeals, and resubmissions. Daily responsibilities include maintaining detailed documentation of follow-up activities, prioritizing aging accounts,



coordinating with internal billing and coding teams to resolve issues, and ensuring adherence to payer guidelines and compliance requirements. The role also involves generating and updating AR and denial reports, tracking recovery trends, and contributing to process improvements that enhance reimbursement and reduce recurring denials.

Qualifications

- Solid analytical skills to review AR aging reports, denial trends, and remittance data, and to identify root causes and recovery opportunities.
- Finance-related capabilities, including understanding of medical billing workflows, payer reimbursement methodologies, and basic accounting concepts related to AR.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with payers, internal teams, and clients, and for documenting follow-up actions clearly and accurately.
- Experience in debt collection and AR follow-up, including negotiating with payers, pursuing outstanding balances, and managing high-volume claim portfolios.
- Proficiency in invoicing and patient billing processes, with familiarity in EHR/practice management systems and payer portals.
- Previous experience in medical billing, denial management, or revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of insurance payer policies, basic coding concepts (ICD, CPT, HCPCS), and HIPAA and regulatory compliance standards.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, manage multiple priorities, and meet productivity and quality targets
