About The Role
Youth For Seva is looking for a passionate and committed individual with 1–2 years of teaching experience to support government school children in preparing for various competitive and scholarship examinations.
The role involves teaching, mentoring and guiding students while also supporting them through the complete examination journey—from identifying suitable opportunities and preparing for examinations to application, examination attendance and further enrolment.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Training -
- Train students in Science, Mathematics and Aptitude for competitive examinations.
- Prepare students for exams such as Morarji Desai Residential School Exam, Navodaya Vidyalaya, NMMS and NTSE.
- Assess student learning needs and provide academic guidance and mentoring.
Assisting Students With Applications
- Facilitate examination applications and registrations.
- Coordinate logistics for examination attendance,
including travel to examination centres where required.
- Coordinate with YFS Project Coordinators, partner organisations and school authorities.
Reporting
- Maintain student and examination records.
- Prepare and submit monthly programme/progress reports.
Eligibility & Requirements
- 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably in Science, Mathematics or Aptitude.
- Robust communication skills in English and Kannada.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring and working with children.
- Ability to work effectively with schools, parents and community stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to schools and examination centres as required.
- Experience working with government school students or underserved communities is an advantage.
