Job Title - Application Packaging Specialist

Experience - 6 – 15 Years

Requirements:

This role is intended for RFP-engaged suppliers and is designed to provide clarity on the negotiated rate and role expectations. The Application Packaging Specialist will support application readiness and migration initiatives by managing application packaging, discovery, rationalization, deployment coordination, and issue resolution across the end-to-end application lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience

· 6–8 years of experience in application packaging, Windows Installer, and Admi Studio.

· 2–3 years of experience in migration projects and transition-related activities.

· Experience in end-to-end application lifecycle management.

· Intermediate-level experience with deployment tools.

· Basic understanding of desktop migration concepts and processes.

· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell.

· Strong understanding of standard application packaging processes and workflows.

· Valuable understanding of MSI packaging best practices and standards.

· Ability to troubleshoot packaging, deployment, and system-related issues.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Drive the complete application readiness project for migration initiatives.





· Perform application discovery and rationalization using various reports and available application data.

· Assist business partners in understanding UHG processes from an application integration standpoint.

· Triage intake requests for each application packaging request submitted and process the request through packaging until deployment to the end user’s device.

· Create App Sets and application bundles by working closely with business partners and sharing them with the Desktop Migration team.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve application-related issues during migration activities.

· Ensure packaging deliverables follow standard workflows, quality expectations, and deployment readiness requirements.

AI Skills Requirement

· Demonstrate baseline proficiency in enterprise-approved AI tools.

· Maintain approximately 90% weekly usage of approved AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and other approved GenAI platforms.

· Apply AI tools to improve productivity across coding, documentation, analysis, troubleshooting, and decision-making activities.

· Continuously upskill on evolving AI capabilities and apply relevant features to improve delivery quality and efficiency.

Mandatory Skills:- App Readiness/App Packaging.
